This work is deeply personal to me.
For years, I served in nonprofit leadership supporting individuals navigating crisis, trauma, and systemic barriers. I cared deeply about the work, and because it mattered, I gave it everything. Slowly, that pace caught up with me. I stopped exercising. I stopped meditating. My sleep suffered. From the outside, I appeared capable and committed. Internally, I was depleted. My relationship with myself deteriorated, and my mental health took a toll.
Burnout didn’t arrive all at once. It happened through small, justified acts of self-abandonment in the name of service.
Stepping away became a turning point. I began to question what sustainable leadership truly requires. I no longer believe leadership must be fueled by urgency or self-sacrifice. It must be rooted in self-trust, internal alignment, and grounded presence.
Polaris Coaching & Consulting was born from that realization.
Polaris is named after the North Star, long used as a point of orientation in uncertain terrain. I believe leadership requires that same kind of internal orientation — a steady reference point within yourself. My work helps values-driven leaders strengthen self-trust, hold clear boundaries, and build ways of leading that protect both their impact and their well-being.
Caring deeply about your work should never require abandoning yourself.

Program focused on embodied and trauma-informed astrology, emphasizing nervous system regulation, somatic integration, and archetypal insight to support conscious leadership and inner resourcing.

A year long leadership development program for nonprofit professional, helping them gain skills in management, strategy, networking, and governance.

As an inaugural class member of this new program, I was selected to facilitate community circle dialogues centered on race and racism, sponsored by Southern California Grantmakers.
